Hot Dog Skewers Recipe

Hot dog skewers made with beef hot dogs and garlic butter baby potatoes. I served them with some pickles on top of a salad. We absolutely devoured them.

Ingredients

  • 6 Beef Hotdogs
  • 1 lb Baby Potatoes
  • 6 Wooden Skewers soaked for 30 minutes
  • 2 tbsp Salted Butter
  • 2 tsp Minced Garlic
  • 1/2 tsp Rosemary crushed between your fingers
  • 1/2 tsp Sea Salt
  • Black Pepper

Instructions

  • If you are using wooden skewers, soak them for 30 minutes to an hour.
  • Boil baby potatoes for 15 minutes in salted water. You want them to be soft, but not too soft that they fall apart when you put the skewer through
  • Preheat your grill to medium heat
  • White the potatoes are boiling, mix together 2 tbsp of slightly melted butter with 2 tsp minced garlic and 1/2 tsp of fresh rosemary.
  • Cut each hotdog into thirds
  • When the potatoes are done boiling, drain them and rinse them with cold water.
  • Start making your skewers by adding 1 piece of hotdog, followed by a potato, another piece of hotdog, another potato, and the final hotdog piece.
  • Repeat with remaining hotdogs and potatoes
  • Baste/Spoon the garlic butter over the potatoes and sprinkle salt and black pepper on the potatoes on all sides.
  • Grill each skewer for 6 minutes total, flipping them after 3 minutes.
  • Serve over a salad with some pickles and enjoy.
