Air Fryer Peaches

These air fryer peaches are the most delicious way to enjoy peach season. They are “grilled” in the air fryer and then topped with a buttery cinnamon sugar, vanilla ice cream, granola, and a touch of maple syrup. They are a must-try and once you try them you won’t ever want them another way.

Can I put fruit in the Air Fryer?

Yes, adding fruit to an air fryer is very similar to putting them on a grill. My favorite type of fruit to add to the air fryer is stone fruit, like nectarines, peaches, plums, etc. Air frying your fruit will give you the same results as grilling them. The inside gets so juicy and delicious. When choosing fruit to air fry, you want to make sure the fruit is not overly ripe, so using fruit just before it gets ripe is best for this.

Grilled Peaches with Ice Cream

If you have ever tried grilled peaches you know how delicious warm peaches are. Grilling peaches allows their natural sugars to caramelize, which develops both the texture and flavor. Cooking your peaches in an air fryer is another option and I am going to teach you how.

First I split each peach in half. Then, I like to create a Cinnamon Sugar Butter that I add to the top of the peaches. This buttery cinnamon sugar cooks into the peaches and brulees on top while the peaches are cooking. The taste is absolutely unreal and I know you will love them. It is simple to make too, just combine salted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. And yes, it has to be salted butter. The salt brings out the natural sweetness of the peaches and intensifies the sweetness of the sugar. Just trust me.

Once the peaches are finished cooking in the air fryer, I then top them with a scoop of vanilla ice cream(a la mode style) , a sprinkle of some crunchy granola, and a drizzle of real maple syrup. I love that the base of this dessert is real fruit and that it is one of the best ways to enjoy peach season.

Also, the day that I made this, I was so frickin’ excited to have my toddler try this that I made the mistake of letting her have dessert basically 2 minutes after I served her dinner. I don’t know what I was thinking but I just got too excited and impatient and I wanted her to experience it so much that I just started warming up the peaches early.

Then, once I warmed them I added the ice cream and of course it started to melt. Once that started to happen I was like “ok, well, I need to serve this now”, so I put it on the table and OBVIOUSLY she was no longer interested in her dinner. So, I don’t recommend doing that. I don’t know what I was thinking but again, I just got super excited and basically blacked out haha. But anyway, she absolutely loved this dessert.

How to make Air Fryer Peaches

EQUIPMENT

INGREDIENTS  

  • 5-6 Peaches
  • 3 tbsp Salted Butter
  • 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • Avocado Oil Spray
  • 1 pint Vanilla Ice Cream
  • 2 tbsp Maple Syrup optional
  • 1/4 cup Granola optional

INSTRUCTIONS 

  • Melt the butter slightly by popping it in the microwave for 15 seconds. Alternatively you can use room temperature butter if you are someone that keeps your butter on the counter.
  • In a bowl, combine the butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Set it aside.
  • Slice each peach and lay them skin side down/flesh side up in your air fryer. Spray the tops with avocado oil spray.
  • Air Fry the peaches plain for 5 minutes at 350F
  • Evenly distribute the cinnamon sugar butter on the tops of all of the peaches
  • Air Fry for an additional 6 minutes at 350F
  • Remove the peaches from the air fryer, add them to a plate.
  • Top with a scoop of ice cream, a little granola, and maple syrup
