Stuffed Garlic Bread
This stuffed garlic bread is absolutely one of the best things I have ever made. It is stuffed with two types of cheese, a ton of garlic, salted butter, and fresh herbs.
Stuffed Garlic Bread with Cheese
This cheesy stuffed garlic bread reminds me a lot of texas toast, but it has that “fresh” factor that texas toast doesn’t have. Also, using fresh bread is a real treat. I love long seeded bread and I have a bakery by me that makes the absolutely best bread. I live close enough to walk to it and when I enter the store the smell of freshly baked bread comes right at me and is one of the best things I have ever smelled.
Stuffing your garlic bread like I did in this recipe ensures that both sides of each slice are coated to the max with cheesy garlic flavor. You will wonder why you never made your garlic bread like this before. It is absolutely epic! The trick to the bread is to make your slices about 1.5″ wide and do not cut all the way to the bottom of the bread. The loaf of bread will be reminiscent of an accordion. This way, you can take your cheesy garlic butter mixture and stuff it into each slice and it just melts into it as it bakes.
Honestly, just writing this recipe up is reminding me that maybe I need to make it again this weekend because it is just THAT GOOD! If you are like me and love garlic and cheese together, you should also check out my recipe for Garlic Parmesan Wings!
Easy Stuffed Garlic Bread
No special equipment is needed to make this delicious recipe. You just add the ingredients for the filling into a bowl and combine. Then, you make the slice cuts into the bread, ensuring you do not cut all the way through.
Once you have your cuts, you evenly distribute your filling into the bread, wrap the whole loaf in aluminum foil and bake it in the oven.
One note I will make is that if you think you have too much filling, I urge you to use all of it. That is what makes this bread so incredible, and also, the cheese will melt into the bread and will reduce in space.
How do I make Garlic Bread?
INGREDIENTS
- 8-10 cloves Garlic
- 1/2 cup Salted Butter room temperature so that it can be spread easily
- 3 tbsp Olive Oil extra virgin
- 1/4 cup Parsley fresh, stems removed
- 1/2 tsp Sea Salt
- 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
- 1 cup Shredded Parmesan Cheese
- 3/4 cup Fontinella Cheese or Provolone. You can also use Mozzarella but Mozzarella has a much milder taste.
- 1 long Seeded Italian Bread about 20″ – 24″ long
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat oven to 400F
- Add all ingredients except for the bread into a small food processor or nutri bullet to turn into a paste. Make sure it is fully combined and all of the garlic has been processed though the butter mixture.
- Cut 1.5″ slices into the bread making sure not to cut all the way to the bottom. You want to be able to stuff filling in between all of the slices without the bread coming apart.
- Use all of the filling. Even if you think you used enough, use all of the filling. Trust me!
- Tightly wrap the entire loaf of bread in aluminum foil and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Remove bread from the oven carefully. Let it sit for a minute or two and then unwrap the bread. Enjoy!
