Whipped Cottage Cheese Dip
This Caprese Salad inspired Whipped Cottage Cheese Dip is going to be your new go to dip. It is super healthy and full of protein. It will make anyone into a cottage cheese lover. This Creamy Cottage Cheese Dip with Pesto, Diced Tomatoes, and Toasted Pinenuts can be served with warm grilled bread or fresh veggies.
Whipped Cottage Cheese
This recipe uses whipped cottage cheese, which is super creamy. A lot of people do not like the natural texture of cottage cheese, but you can add it to a Vitamix (you can also use a food processor or immersion blender) to turn your cottage cheese into the texture of thick yogurt. The cottage cheese becomes a great base for any dip you want to make.
You can also buy already whipped cottage cheese. I have seen a couple of brands being sold at the grocery store. Once you have cottage cheese in a creamy consistency you can do basically anything to it. Cottage Cheese has a very mild cheesy taste and tastes great in this Caprese Salad Inspired Dip.
Other Whipped Cottage Cheese Dip Ideas:
- Mexican Inspired Cottage Cheese Dip – Avocado blended into the cottage cheese to make it even thicker. Topped with a little pico de gallo and a generous sprinkle of taco seasoning
- Ranch Cottage Cheese Dip – Turn this into ranch dip by adding 1 tsp onion powder, tsp garlic powder, 2 tsp dried dill, 1/4 tsp salt, and sprinkle of black pepper.
- Green Goddess Cottage Cheese Dip – Create a healthier green goddess dip by using 1 cup of cottage cheese, 1/2 of an avocado, 2 garlic cloves, 1/4 cup of fresh herbs like chives, dill, and basil, 1 tbsp of lemon juice, 1/4 tsp of salt, and a sprinkle of black pepper. Sprinkle a little olive oil on top before serving.

Cottage Cheese Dip
Dips are always my go to when I am hosting a party. I usually buy or make a few dips in addition to the other food I serve. I love serving that dips that can go well with bread or vegetables. This gives people an option to eat healthy if they want to. If you love cheesy dips, you have to try out my Spicy Feta Dip, too!
Cottage Cheese Dip is a great substitute for sour cream or yogurt, and it has so much more protein than both. In order to make a dip out of cottage cheese, you just need to create your creamy base and add your ingredients.
I chose to make my dip similarly to a cypress salad and used the flavors of pesto, tomatoes, and pine nuts. You can also add a drizzle of balsamic glaze for a hint of sweetness.
