Air Fried Chicken Tenders
I just recently got an air fryer, I know I know…where have I been? But the thing is I live in the city and kitchen space is limited. But, we are trying to move soon, so that’s my excuse for finally having an air fryer! This Air Fried Chicken Tenders recipe is one of the first things I tested out and WOAHHH okay…they are delicious.
This recipe is also a paleo recipe because I used pork rinds, but I have also made this with panko bread crumbs and they came out absolutely incredible.
Can you put raw chicken in an air fryer?
Yes you can. I like to make sure my chicken is thawed first so that I can season it before it cooks.
How to Make Air Fried Chicken Tenders
Preheat Air Fryer to 390F
Pour half a bag of pork crumbles(or bread crumbs) into a flat bowl, about two cups.
Sprinkle salt and seasonings evenly over raw chicken, making sure the seasoning is on all sides
Crack eggs into a bowl. Beat well. Add raw chicken and coat well
Add tenders to the pork rind(or breadcrumb) mixture a few at a time. Place them on a plate.
Cook for 20 minutes!
Enjoy with maple mustard
What do you need to make Air Fryer Chicken Tenders?
1 lb Chicken Tenderloins
1 bag Pork Rinds Crumbles or Pork Panko
2 Eggs
1/2 tsp Smoked Paprika
1 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Onion Powder
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
This is a paleo and keto recipe too! I used my recipe for Pork Rind Crusted Chicken Nuggets and just used tenders instead of bite sized pieces! Then, I dunked these golden crispy tenders into my homemade Maple Mustard for a truly delicious experience!
Can you use breading in an air fryer?
Yes! I have used pork rinds, regular breadcrumbs, and panko breadcrumbs in an air-fryer and they all come out delicious.
