Air Fryer Cauliflower

Crispy Air Fryer Cauliflower

Thanks to the air fryer, you can make delicious and crispy “roasted” cauliflower in just 15 minutes. I love that this recipe is made without any breading. They are similar in taste to roasted cauliflower but made in less time since I am using an air fryer. This recipe tastes great served with my homemade maple mustard sauce.

I always used to roast cauliflower florets in my oven because they made a great side dish to any meal and also just an overall great snack. I love using crispy cauliflower to add to my pasta dishes like I did with this Pasta with Roasted Cauliflower. You can also use air fryer cauliflower as a healthy side to some protein, add it to your burritos or buddha bowls, and you can even use it as a soup topping. I also love pairing it with a dip and eating them like french fries. It makes a delicious and nutritious naturally gluten free and dairy free snack! Cauliflower has a surprisingly high amount of Vitamin C, and also has a good amount of several B vitamins and Vitamin K.

Air Fryer Cauliflower Bites

My favorite part about this cauliflower in air fryer recipe is that it gives me the same crispy texture as fried or roasted cauliflower, but I use significantly less oil. I only us 1 tablespoon per 12 ounce bag of fresh cauliflower florets. Using pre chopped florets save me even more time when I am coming from home and want to throw together something delicious really fast.

How To Season Cauliflower in Air Fryer

You can season cauliflower many ways, but one of the most basic ways it just to use salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. I also add a pinch of nutmeg into this recipe to give it an extra little oomph! If you like yellow curry powder, I suggest a bit of that too! Cauliflower and curry and one of my favorite combinations. I know not everyone loves curry, so I did not use it in this recipe but if you are a fan, I urge you to add a little bit!

I add about 1 tablespoon of olive oil plus 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt, 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper, and 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder to my cauliflower florets and then I mixed them around with my hand, trying to get a little oil into all of the crevices. Once they are done cooking, I pair them with my homemade maple mustard sauce.

I’m always looking for a healthy snack that tastes good as is not that high in calories. This could be it.

  2. I have a Nija Air fryer, the temperature and length of time were too much for my air fryer, the califlour was over done.
The mustard sauce was a great suprise, and went great with some breaded chicken strips.

    1. Hi Jan,

I am so glad you loved the sauce. Did you preheat the air fryer by any chance? I don’t recommend preheating for this recipe.
