The Best Game Day Recipes
This list is the ultimate guide to the best game day recipes! It has everything from cheesy dips, to chili, to sliders, to soup, and even some hoagies. Whatever it is you crave while you watch the big game, this list will surely have something to satisfy you.
This list includes some of my most popular recipes that are perfect for game day or any hosting event. I enjoy watching football, but when it comes to the super bowl, I am definitely more into the food than the actual game. That is, unless my team is in the super bowl. Then, I am very much invested in the actual game. My team isn’t in the super bowl this year, so it’s the perfect time for me to focus on what I do best, and that is food!
- Jalapeño Popper Dip – Do you love jalapeño poppers? If so, get ready to enjoy this Jalapeño Popper Dip topped with Pepper Jelly. This gooey, cheesy, and delicious dip is made with jalapeño peppers, garlic, and bacon. Then, I topped the whole dip with pepper jelly, which is a sweet and spicy jelly that pairs perfectly with cream cheese. 2. Crab Rangoon Dip – This crab rangoon dip is a delicious Asian inspired hot crab dip. Crab rangoon is a combination of crab, green onions, soy sauce, and cream cheese stuffed into a fried wonton. It is then served with a sweet dipping sauce. I combined all of these amazing flavors of and made it into a Crab Rangoon Dip! You can either fry your wonton chips in oil or use an air fryer. 3. French Dip Sliders – Oh my goodness these are delicious. These french dip sliders are made with Hawaiian rolls, roast beef, provolone cheese, and caramelized onions. Then it is baked until the cheese is melted. When they finish baking, you have the most perfect little melty french dip sliders which are ready to be dipped into delicious au jus! 4. Spanakopita Puff Pastry Pinwheels – These Spanakopita Puff Pastry Pinwheels are a delicious party appetizer to make if you want to wow your guests. Spanakopita is one of my favorite Greek dishes but it can be a bit time consuming because of the phyllo dough. Using puff pastry and rolling them into pinwheels simplifies the recipe while still being able to enjoy the delicious flavors of feta cheese, spinach, and lemon in a flaky, buttery crust. 5. White Chicken Chili with Cream Cheese – Chili season is here and one of my favorites to make is this White Chicken Chili with Cream Cheese. This is a great alternative to traditional beef chili and makes for the best leftovers. The creaminess of the cream cheese plus the seasoned chicken and white beans are my #1 pick for football season and for cozying up on the couch on a chilly day. 6. Buffalo Chicken Dip– If you love buffalo wings, this creamy and cheesy dip is for you. Buffalo Chicken Dip is an easy dip made with shredded chicken, buffalo wing sauce, cream cheese, sour cream, and melty cheese. You combine everything in a baking dish, cook until melty and bubbly, and then serve with tortilla chips, celery, bread, or crackers. 7. Big Mac Casserole – Big Mac Casserole a.k.a. Cheeseburger Casserole is a delicious and easy meal made with lean ground beef, special sauce, cheese, and pickles. I then top the dish with tater tots and more cheese and bake it until the tater tots are all nice and crispy. Add some shredded lettuce on top, more pickles, and Big Mac sauce and enjoy! Air Fryer Sausage and Pepper Sandwiches – This Air Fryer Sausage and Peppers recipe is made with juicy and crispy Sweet Italian Sausage, Bell Peppers, and Onions all served on a traditional Italian roll. Making this recipe in your air fryer takes less than 30 minutes and clean up is so easy. 10. Smashburger Dumplings – The perfect combination of delicious dumpling meatballs pressed into a crispy tortilla topped with sauteed cabbage and dumping sauce. 11. Cheeseburger Egg Rolls – Anything cheeseburger is a must have on this list for the best game day recipes. All the flavors of a juicy cheeseburger rolled in to a crispy crunchy egg roll wrapper. These Cheeseburger Egg Rolls are similar to the ones sold at Disney Parks and the Cheesecake Factory. You can pan fry them or even make them in the air fryer. 12. Cottage Cheese Green Goddess Dip – This is definitely a healthier option. This high protein cottage cheese green goddess dip is a blend of creamy whipped cottage cheese, avocado, lemon, garlic, and herbs. It is a nutritious dip that feels decadent at the same time. I love to eat this with some toasted sourdough bread and some crudite. It tastes absolutely delicious and it is going to be a staple in my house all summer long. 13. Spicy Feta Dip (Tirokafteri) – Tirokafteri is a creamy and spicy whipped feta dip. This Greek inspired dip recipe includes a blend of whipped feta cheese, ricotta, olive oil, garlic, and the perfect amount of spicy peppers. 26. Slow Cooker Pulled Beef – This Slow Cooker Pulled Beef recipe is adapted from my Instant Pot Beef Barbacoa recipe. I used easy to find ingredients (stew meat, herbs, and citrus) and then let them cook together in a crock pot! The tenderness of the meat is so amazing, I know you will love it.
